Corporate Support Options

There are a number of ways in which corporations can support the efforts of Care for Children. Some options are laid out below for consideration:

Sponsoring Children

One of the easiest ways for corporations (and individuals) to support the Care for Children program is to sponsor or "adopt" children. The average amortized cost of supporting a child through the CFC program works out to about $1 per day or $365 annually. This amount pays for the child’s daily meals, education, books, stationery, uniforms, monthly medical checkup and transportation. Corporations typically sponsor a set number of children for a fixed amount annually and CFC provides annual updates on the progress of the program along with a Certificate of Recognition for the corporate support. The opportunity to sponsor children is as follows:

  • • Annual cost of sponsoring 25 children = $9125.00
  • • Annual cost of sponsoring 50 children = $18250.00
  • • Annual cost of sponsoring 100 children = $36500.00

All contributions are, of course, tax deductible based on our 501(c)(3) status. The graph below gives a rough breakdown of the allocation for a child:

Care For Children

For being one of our premier partners, Care for Children will be more than happy to increase the visibility of UTC within the broader AOLF community which consists of more than 100,000 members within the US alone and several million in India. Specifically, we will include the UTC logo on our banners and other event based collaterals. We will also publish a special report on the impact of your contribution on the lives of the children. We will provide quarterly updates followed by a final annual report on the allocation and utilization of the funds and the progress of children receiving the donation.

Project-based Funding

Another way for corporations to support the program is to adopt a specific project. For example, our current and new schools are constantly in need of libraries, computer labs, science labs, vocational training equipment, school infrastructure construction (rooms and furniture), etc. CFC provides corporations specific projects with different funding levels and corporations can adopt and fund partially or fully. The project can also be promoted within your company by HR for further employee support. CFC provides details of all expenses and detailed updates of the project. Also, on completion of the project, CFC will generate a dedicated video to highlight the achievement and the corporate sponsor(s) who made it possible.

Benefits of Funding

The benefits to corporations are many including the following:

• Care for Children recognizes and appreciated corporate support by showcasing the project prominently on our website and collaterals and by presenting it to the broader Art of Living Foundation community. This helps corporations build brand awareness in the vast Art of Living worldwide network.
• All donated amounts are tax-deductible as CFC are a US 501(c)(3) registered non-profit organization.
• Specific project funding is recognized through a plaque displayed prominently at the project site. (Check the above Juniper Network Foundation project link provided.)
• Care for Children will generate a video (at our cost) showcasing the specific project from inception to completion and provide it on our website and on the Art of Living Foundation website.
• Corporations also have access to the same video and can inspire their employees and customers alike by displaying it on their websites. This helps build a strong socially- responsible image for the company.
• A Certificate of Recognition is provided to each corporation supporting the program. The company logo is displayed in the corporate sponsors section on the CFC website.
• Corporations lead the way by inspiring their employees in philanthropy through such projects which leads to more social involvement and much higher employee retention rates.
